Jose Vargas is an illegal alien who alegedly came to America from the Philipines when he was 12. He was supposedly brought here by his parents rather than other human smugglers, and he does not qualify for Obama’s unconstitutional DACA amnesty- he is way too old. Rather than quietly enjoying his illegal status, however, Vargas brags about being an illegal alien, and counts on quasi-notoriety to keep him from the deportation that US immigration law demands he receive.
Vargas used false identification to secure employment at the Washington Post, and since coming out as an illegal, he has leveraged his criminal status to enrich himself. Employers throughout the corporate media world have hired him fully knowingly they broke the law by doing so, and are at risk of prosecution by the DOJ under the honorable Jeff Sessions. MTV executives are the latest to risk fines and imprisonment for employing, transporting and providing him aid… to host a show called “White” something-or-other, that no one with any taste or intelligence will watch.
Illegal aliens like Vargas who flaunt their criminal status encourage other foreign nationals to put themselves at risk of death, dismemberment or violent sexual abuse by illegally entering the country. Jose Vargas brazenly proclaims he’s an “undocumented”, in effect telling others that they, too, should invade the United States rather than lawfully apply for entry.
DHS should prioritize deporting felons like Jose Vargas who publicly proclaim their illegal alien status as if it were a badge of honor while protesting the immigration laws of the country they invaded. Their impunity and disdain for America’s laws provides foreign nationals with the false impression that if you can make it across the border you can stay without repurcussions.
What has gotten into the folks at AP the past few years? First they attempted to co-op the English language in small ways to please their politically correct liberal corporate owners. Then they went Full Monty.
The AP a few years ago broke with reality when it stopped printing “illegal aliens”, the factually accurate and legal term utilized by the federal government to describe foreign nationals who have illegally entered and remained in the country. The AP chose instead to incorrectly refer to these foreign national criminals as “undocumented immigrants”, ignoring the fact that real immigrants lawfully apply for admission to their new host country, agreeing to abide by their rules and laws from the outset.
As of today, the AP has been completely corrupted, warning writers not to dare use the terms “terrorist”, “refugee”, or “pro-life”, and now even deems their former go-to “illegal immigrant” to be too offensive a word for their delicate snowflake readership, who are apparently so easily triggered that they require safe spaces, soft music, puppies and play dough to recover from being offended by virtually everything.
The AP is attempting to redefine the English language, reminiscent of the tyrannical government depicted in Orwell’s 1984.
The AP stylebook, in essence their re-education book, instructs writers to ignore all facts, pretend words don’t really mean what we all know they mean, and to start calling terrorists “militants” or “lone wolves”, despite being part of ISIS or some other radical islamist terror group. It’s quite pathetic, actually, and an insult to real journalists.
Here is a bit more on the AP debacle…
The Stylebook also says to avoid using the term abortionist because it “connotes a person who performs clandestine abortions.”
When it comes to words regarding terrorism, the Stylebook instructs journalists to use the terms “Militant,” “lone wolves,” or “attackers” instead of “terrorist” or “Islamist.”
The Stylebook also suggests that instead of using the term “migrant” or “refugee,” “people struggling to enter Europe” should be used.
The AP thus descends further and further into the liberal lala land of fairy tales and make believe, while trying to influence its impressionable readers to join them for the ride.
Democrats have decided to endanger women in Denver by reducing the minimum sentences to under one year in prison for assault, first and second incidence of domestic violence, and other sordid crimes.
Liberals and the press can’t stand to have any illegals deported, no matter how many women they assault, so they have rewarded criminal legal and illegal aliens by reducing their jail sentences to under a year specifically in order to avoid deportation, and they arrogantly celebrate this insult to women as a unique and timely way to “resist Trump” and the rule of law
Why have liberals, who falsely profess to value women and support feminism, decided to reward criminals by reducing their sentences when they beat up women?
Because illegal aliens and green card holding immigrants are assaulting and beating up women, which results in ICE being apprised of their crimes and potentially deporting these dangerous criminals!
How pathetic! Here is the story, brought to you by the Washington Laughingstock… which has chosen to describe this repugnant policy of rewarding those who assault women as “Denver fights back against Trump’s deportation crackdown with surprisingly simple change in law”.
Yet again, a “hate crime” highly publicized by the Washington Post and CNN turns out to be a fake crime, just like the dozens of other self-perpetrated incidences over the past few months.
In this case, a misguided man spray painted a swastika and “Heil Trump” on his own church. Thechurch’s gay organist was arrested after he vandalized his own church with anti-gay and pro-Trump graffiti, in order to “mobilize a movement.”
Like the Muslim woman who lied about Trump supporters assaulting her for wearing a hijab, and the Muslim professor arrested for falsely claiming anti-muslim crimes and harassment, this “crime” was a Hate Hoax by a disturbed attention seeking individual.
Predictably, neither CNN nor the fake news Washington Post have issued updates to their original stories about the fake crime. The Post referred to this fake crime 15 times over the past few months. Sad!
Contrary to unconfirmed liberal-biased reports by CNN and the New York Times which claim illegal aliens are more law abiding than US citizens, the official and confirmed data by the Department of Justice states otherwise. Almost 25% of federal prisoners are foreign nationals, and of those, almost all are illegals.
Considering that there are between 11 and 20 million illegal aliens in the country, they comprise about 5% of the population. However, illegal aliens commit a disproportionate amount of crime to be arrested, convicted and sentenced such that they constitute almost a quarter of federal inmates. Illegal aliens are 5 times as likely to be incarcerated in the federal bureau of prisons than a native born US citizen!
“There are 45,493 foreign-born inmates currently in BOP custody, of which 3,939 are U.S. citizens (either naturalized or derivative). Of the remaining 41,554 foreign-born inmates (aliens):
o Approximately 22,541 (54.2 percent) are aliens for which final immigration orders have been issued for their removal;
o Approximately 13,886 (33.4 percent) are aliens who are under ICE investigation for possible removal;
o Approximately 5,101 (12.3 percent) are aliens still pending adjudication (in other words, ICE has charged these aliens as removal cases, but a final disposition has not yet been reached); and
o Approximately 26 (0.1 percent) are aliens who have been granted relief on the basis of asylum claims.”
So, per the DOJ, a full 99.9 percent of non-citizen foreign born inmates are illegal aliens and are already ordered to be deported, considered removable or under investigation to be deported!
Contrary to the fake news spewed by liberals at MSNBC, CNN, the Huffington Post, Vox, the New York Times, the Washington Post and the rest of the failing old media, American citizens overwhelmingly support deporting illegal alien criminals.
In fact, according to a recent Harvard/Harris poll, 80% of Americans agree with President Trump’s stance on sanctuary cities!
An overwhelming majority of Americans believe that cities that arrest illegal immigrants for crimes should be required to turn them over to federal authorities.
The poll shows that President Trump has broad public support in his effort to crack down on sanctuary cities.
A survey from Harvard–Harris Poll provided exclusively to The Hill found that 80 percent of voters say local authorities should have to comply with the law by reporting to federal agents the illegal immigrants they come into contact with.
Politicians, networks and newspapers worldwide are working overtime this weekend expressing fake moral outrage over a religious test for immigrants that does not exist. They falsely claim President Trump has issued a “Muslim Ban” when he has done no such thing.
President Trump put a temporary 90-day hold blocking all citizens of 7 Middle Eastern and African countries from entering the United States. These are countries that the Obama administration identified as hotbeds of terrorism . The “Visa Waiver Program Improvement and Terrorist Travel Prevention Act of 2015” named Iraq, Iran, Sudan, and Syria, while its 2016 update added Libya, Somalia, and Yemen.
President Trump also put an indefinite hold on people from Syria, as the country is in a state of civil war, with a failed government and no means to reliably verify citizens’ identities, much less their criminal history and background data.
Finally, all refugee resettlement to the United States has been temporarily suspended for 120 days and the refugee cap has been reset at 50,000 for the current fiscal year, an annual cap higher than it has been for most of the past 8 years.
These executive actions have been put in place to protect US citizens from terrorist attacks and to review and improve the vetting process for immigrants and refugees from countries with failed governments and prolific terrorist camps or activity.
While a majority of the citizens of the 7 blocked countries happen to be muslim, 90% of the world’s muslim population live in other countries that are not blocked, and they are welcome to apply for a US visa to visit, or immigrate.
The politicians and press haven’t honestly explained this, however, and instead falsely claimed there is a muslim ban. Some of theweekend’sheadlines displayed the fake news front and center:
Politicians were out in force pushing the false narrative. Take left-wing wanna-be DNC head Rep. Keith Ellison (D- MN) on Sunday’s CBS program “Face the Nation.” Ellison said, “You know what, we never have had a religious-based ban before. This is a Muslim ban and they can’t deny it is a Muslim ban.”
Senate Minority Leader Chuckie Schumer (D- NY) made a concerted effort to display tears for the cameras at a press conference he called Sunday, in which he claimed he was named after Ellis Island, and then choked with theatrical emotion over his erroneous assertion that “this executive order was mean spirited and un-American.”
Did Schumer get all weepy and declare that Barack Obama’s six-month ban on citizens from muslim-majority Iraq in 2011 was mean spirited and un-American? No, he did not.
It is common knowledge among firearms owners that reporters are famously ignorant about firearms. The media displays this ignorance in almost every print article and televison story they produce. Failure to understand the difference between a semi-automatic and a selective fire (fully automatic) weapon is probably tied with the confusion between a clip and a magazine as the most common error put forth by the press.
A reporter named Michael Rosenwald at the Washington Post has created a new standard in misreporting, elevated to the level of full-on fake gun news. Mr. Rosenwald falsely claims that the .22LR round, the smallest and weakest commercially produced round in existence, is in fact a “high-powered rifle round”.
Excuse me. I had to stop typing as a slow chuckle developed into a full belly laugh, and then grew to a roar.
When a number of better informed individuals confronted Mr. Rosenwald on Twitter about his factual misstatement, he went on a rant, doubling and tripling down on his error, coupled with some rather poor attempts at mocking those who corrected him.
Let’s simply review the facts. To begin, a little firearms terminology 101. A bullet or round is the metal projectile that is forced through the barrel of a firearm by the explosive pressure of expanding gases, and which flies through the air until it strikes an object or falls to the ground as a result of gravity and the laws of physics. A cartridge consists of a metal casing packed with propellant and a primer, and into which the base of bullet is inserted and secured such that the tip of the bullet remains visible.
The .22LR cartridge was introduced in 1887. It is a rimfire cartridge (a rim strike ignites the primer) that can be fired from a pistol or a rifle. The Federal 40 grain .22LR, as an example, exits the muzzle of your rifle or pistol at 1080 feet per second and delivers 104 foot/pounds of force at the moment it is fired. Both the speed at which any round travels and the force it delivers degrade over space and time. A .22LR round is generally effective for small game such as rabbits and squirrels, or target shooting at a maximum range of 50 to 100 yards.
Not very powerful, Mr. Rosenwald, and the reason the .22LR is the caliber of choice to teach children firearm safety and introduce them to target shooting.
Most ammunition manufactured and used today is centerfire rather than rimfire, as rimfire cartridge walls are too thin to handle the high pressures created by modern gunpowder loads. Higher pressure translates into greater power, or in other words, pressure creates more energy to deliver the round (bullet) to the target at a higher velocity.
The 5.56 cartridge used by the US military in the ubiquitous and scary black rifles (officially called M-4’s and M-16’s) is significantly more powerful than the .22LR, yet was designed to injure rather than kill enemies on the battlefield, and is appropriate for medium-sized game such as coyote. As an example, the 62 grain Federal XM855 Green Tip used by the US military and available for commerical purchase (5.56 ammo is incidentally the most popular rifle ammunition in the USA) leaves the muzzle of a rifle barrel at 3020 feet per second, and at that moment delivers 1255 foot pounds of force. It is therefore approximately 3 times as fast and has 12 times the energy of Mr. Rosenwald’s pea shooter. The 5.56 also has an effective range of over 500 yards.
The 5.56 round is heavier and will travel further and faster than the .22LR, delivering significantly more destructive force and definitely “high-powered” in comparison, yet it is only considered an “intermediate-powered” round, and is easily bested by your average deer hunting rifle, which fires a .308 or 30-06. These rounds are about 3 times as heavy and travel almost as fast as the 5.56, AND have just under 3,000 impressive foot punds of force behind them, legitimately qualifying them as “high-powered rifle rounds”.
It is blatantly obvious at this point that Mr. Rosenwald did not complete the research required to intelligently and accurately discuss high-powered rifle rounds. We sincerely hope that the press in general and Mr. Rosenwald in particular conduct better research in the future, so as to avoid making embarrassing factual errors whilst speaking about firearms.
Coincidentally, it is after all the media’s job to inform, rather than misinform the public.
Wow, just when you thought the press couldn’t sink any lower, enter click-bait factory Buzzfeed.
A 35 page opposition piece full of rumors, libel and slander has been making its way around the beltway media and political landscape for over 6 months now, and everyone left it alone till now because it is nothing but unsubstantiated attacks on Trump. Then this week, CNN reported that the Intelligence Community (IC) had briefed both Barack Hussein Obama and Donald Trump on the scurrilous claims, without mentioning any.
Creating a whole new level of Fake News, Buzzfeed then published the slander in full, all 35 pages. Remember when the press actually did research and vetted stories? Ben Smith at Buzzfeed apparently doesn’t. He is actually priding himself on his determination to publish pure rumor.
Here are the Buzzfeed editor’s own words in an email to colleagues:
As you have probably seen, this evening we published a secret dossier making explosive and unverified allegations about Donald Trump and Russia. I wanted to briefly explain to you how we made the decision to publish it.
We published the dossier, which Ken Bensinger obtained through his characteristically ferocious reporting, so that, as we wrote, “Americans can make up their own minds about allegations about the president-elect that have circulated at the highest levels of the US government.”
Our presumption is to be transparent in our journalism and to share what we have with our readers. We have always erred on the side of publishing. In this case, the document was in wide circulation at the highest levels of American government and media. It seems to lie behind a set of vague allegations from the Senate Majority Leader to the director of the FBI and a report that intelligence agencies have delivered to the president and president-elect.
As we noted in our story, there is serious reason to doubt the allegations. We have been chasing specific claims in this document for weeks, and will continue to.
Publishing this document was not an easy or simple call, and people of good will may disagree with our choice. But publishing this dossier reflects how we see the job of reporters in 2017.
Wow, really? You see reporters’ jobs in 2017 as publishing a collection of slanderous tripe just to get you some clicks and a bit of revenue? Looks like there is no journalistic integrity at all in 2017.
CNN would have all “youth” shoulder the blame for violence perpetrated at over a dozen shopping malls on Boxing Day, the day after Christmas, by omitting a key fact about those responsible: the perpetrators were almost entirely African Americans. Unfortunately, a number of malls are now contemplating or instituting an outright ban on all “unaccompanied minors” on Boxing Day in the future as a result of inaccurate reporting by the press.
CNN describes a more than a handful of the major mall brawls, many of which were pre-planned on social media, or during the commission of which participants called for backup over social media. These fights included as many as 500 people, and resulted in malls being evacauted, closed, and SWAT teams being called out.
What is missing in EVERY SINGLE DESCRIPTION of the mall fights is identifying information about the participants, who are frequently and generically called “teens” or “youth”… even though those arrested included people over 21.
What CNN and every other news source that covered these fights purposely excludes is the race of the offenders, despite the fact that twitter, facebook and youtube all have videos of the fights, and some of the news articles even include said videos. The offenders were almost entirely African American children and young adults, thus it was politically incorrect to name the problem.
To address and fix an issue, one must first define the problem accurately. It is ridiculous that the media misreported these fights as if it were a young person problem, when in fact it is a race problem, just like the fights that rage during 4th of July weekend all over the country.
